Please help

I have been trying to install several php scripts just to get 500 error messages

Please advise as to the procedure needed to get this right.

I follow the installation instructions but something doesn't add up

Hi nesteg,

Always look in your cPanel under error_log and see what it says.

Your problem is due to permission not being right.



[2006-07-29 12:27:23]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/index.html)
[2006-07-29 10:17:37]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/admin/index.html)
[2006-07-29 10:16:18]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/admin/index.html)
[2006-07-29 10:14:02]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/webmasters/index.html)
[2006-07-29 10:10:50]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/admin/index.html)
[2006-07-29 10:08:18]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/admin/index.html)
[2006-07-29 09:54:48]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/username/public_html/htmlrotator/admin/index.html)

These files must be set to 774 in your ftp client.

Thanks Kyle for the reply I still do not manage but this have to wait though

For now I am trying to install an autoresponder and I do get the same errors

I changed permissions all over without success even the 774 but ugh nothing
