I'm trying to install a shoutbox script on my domain (have tried 3 different ones) and keep on getting an internal 500 error. Is this because of php5, and the scripts trying to run is php4?

It says:
Error 500 Internal Server Error

*filename.php*

"The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client should not repeat the request without modifications"

Can anyone help me with this? I need to install a shoutbox, but none of them work, keep on getting the same error as mentioned above.

What system are you using? are you using a cms like Joomla or drupal?

500 internal server errors could mean a number of things but the error your getting is most likely caused by the incorrect permission being set to the file or folder,

Please make sure all php files and folders are set to 755 or email support@serv.co.za for further assistance.
