Joomla configuration.php file info

I am new to ServeHosting and want to upload my JOOMLA website. Can someone tell me how to setup my configuration.php file. I need to know the log and temp path and where to get the info for host, user, password etc. I will appreciate any help.

Hi Jaco

Instead of uploading your Joomla installation, I'd suggest to rather install it from your cPanel. It's a lot less hassle to get it to work. You then only have to upload your template from within Joomla, and your site will be ready.

Here's How:

Firstly - to avoid any errors during installation: Delete the index.php file, and the images folder in your public_html folder of your domain.

Then:
Log into cPanel. Scroll down to Software, and click on Fantastico Deluxe. When Fantastico's page loads, choose the version of Joomla you want on the left, and click on it. Then follow the 3 simple steps to get it installed on your domain.

After that, log into the admin panel of your Joomla installation, and install your template. If for some reason (other than version compatibility) your template won't install, you can ftp it to the public_html/templates folder.
